Student Groups - Youth Theatre
Fall and Spring Matinees are offered to local schools for our Youth Theatre productions. Teachers are free; students and adults get a discount of $2 per ticket. Book early as these shows always sell out!
Student Groups - Mainstage Theatre
The group services office will help you select the show that is appropriate for your school, college or emeritus group. Teachers are free; students are half-price for Previews, mid-week, Saturday Matinee and Sunday Evenings in Orchestra Side and Balcony seating.

How to Reserve Your Group’s Theatre Tickets
Whether you are an experienced group leader or organizing a group event for the first time, we want you to be successful.
Here are a few ideas about reserving tickets and organizing your theatre party.
- Choose your show date early! Check your calendar and choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for dates that work for you and your group. We’ll help give you options for best seating availability for your desired dates. Poll some members and see which date works best.
- Place your reservation as soon as you have a group of 10 or more as seating is based on date priority and availability. You can always add more when you find additional family and friends that want to attend. However, there are no exchanges or refunds so book carefully. Every effort is made to seat the entire group together but there is no guarantee.
Now it’s time to get organized for a successful theatre party. One person can easily organize a group of about 15 to 20 people. Or ask a few people to work with you, especially if you have more than 20. Send out or e-mail “Save the Date” notices to everyone in your group and make sure they talk about it with their friends too. Set an RSVP date. Create a chart with each of your member’s names, phone numbers with columns for payment amounts, due dates, and seat numbers. Call everyone just before the due date to make sure everyone pays you on time.
Promote your show date. Start early. As a way of generating interest and excitement prior to booking a date, we will be happy to provide you with a special electronic flyer featuring the play of your choice to send to your group. Additional information about the play is available via our e-newsletter and quarterly issues of Callboard: A Playgoers Guide, as well as directions and parking instructions.
Theatre Plus! You can make your theater event an extra special evening by arranging something as simple as meeting for drinks and snacks before the theater — or a full sit down luncheon or dinner. We’ll be happy to help you there too. Laguna Beach has many fine restaurants to fit any budget and we’ll be happy to work with you on putting those details together.
Payment: One credit card or one lump sum check. The Group Leader pays a non-refundable deposit of 50% to reserve seats and must use one method of payment. The balance is due 30 days prior to your show and will be automatically billed. Give your members a date when their payment is due to you. We will do our best to accommodate additional guests. However, we cannot refund any group sales payments or make exchanges.
Seat Location . As a courtesy, the tickets will be mailed to the Group Leader. Keep them in a safe place. It is the Group Leader's responsibility to assign and distribute tickets to the guests. Free ticket replacement for lost or stolen tickets is available in an emergency.

There are absolutely no refunds on group sales orders. All sales are final. A non-refundable deposit is required to hold seats, however, some shows require payment in full at time of booking.
