Nava wants to completely remodel the house, but Joel doesn’t want to change a thing. Deep down, their motivation is really the same, and until they come to term with that, there can be no resolution. Filled with humor and pathos, this play uses a familiar marital battleground as a springboard to explore life’s complexities in contemporary Israel.

Anne of Green Gables tells the poignant and funny story of a freckle-faced, red-haired orphan named Anne Shirley, who is adapted by brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island. Opera aficionados from around the world reunite in Milan, Italy for their annual Verdi Weekend, marked by a command performance at La Scala Opera House, thought-provoking lectures and the highlight of the visit—the fiercely competitive Verdi Quiz. But some participants have more on their agenda as they turn the event into an opera rivaling those by their idol. This is Playhouse-favorite Bernard Farrell’s first play set outside of Ireland.

Imagine four women at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie sale with little in common besides night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex, and more! Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, Menopause: The Musical® is a joyful celebration of women living through The Change. Featuring a parody of 25 re-lyricized classic Baby Boomer hits (“Puff the Magic Dragon” becomes “Puff, My God I’m Draggin’,” while “Staying Alive” is reworked as “Staying Awake”), the show has been a runaway success with both women and men ever since it opened at a tiny perfume shop-turned-theatre in Florida six years ago.
